The 5 things you should know...

1. George Clooney is off the market.
He's engaged to a lawyer; a very pretty lawyer. I have to give it to George, it looks like he found brains and beauty. Good work my friend! Confession: George Clooney and I are not friends. Another Confession: we've never met. I know, shocking confessions.

2. Prince Harry is now available.
If it's your dream to marry a prince; you are in luck! All the news outlets are reporting Prince Harry and his longtime girlfriend have broken up. I have to be honest, I always thought Prince Harry was the cuter brother.

Ok, I feel like we should review because I threw some heavy information at you.

#1- George Clooney is off the market.
#2- Prince Harry is on the market.

Everyone good? Ok, moving on...

3. An Oklahoma boy needs your help!
Robert Tanner of Oklahoma is in a Doodle contest with Google. He's competing along 50 other young artist. The winner's doodle will appear on the Google.com homepage and he or she will receive a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his or her school. Please vote for this kiddo! Here's the link to help Robert out.  Come on...help Robert out!

4. Thunder lost.

It was a stressful game. We lost in overtime, again. Thunder is trying to give Oklahomans a heart attack!

5. April 30th is The Lost Holiday.
This April 30 marks the 225th Anniversary of the U.S. Constitution being put into operation. Many might remember that April 30, 1789 was the day that George Washington took the oath of office and gave his inaugural address. But lest we forget, this very act also marked the launching of the American Constitutional System.

And those are the 5 things you should know.

Half Marathon Completed

Sunday was the Oklahoma Memorial Marathon. Cool Coworker and I ran the half marathon.

Here we are before the race started; which was also before the rain, lighting and hail started.

Don't worry I was prepared for the rain; hence the trash bag I'm holding in the picture.
In my simple mind, wearing a trash bag was going to save me from the down pour and hail.
Thankfully, Oklahoma Memorial Marathon folks knew better and delayed the start time two hours.

Have you ever wondered what 26,000 people do during a two hour rain delay?
Well, today is your lucky day because I have the answer.

We hang out in parking garages...

We hang out in a church...

Basically 26,000 people hang out anywhere that will keep us dry. Otherwise you were this guy....

The two hour rain delay was a curse and blessing. The blessing is we didn't have to run in the rain/lighting/wind/hail. The curse is by the time the race started, I'd peed 5 times and my 4:15am breakfast was gone.

However, we survived and ran a great race.  The weather ended up being perfect for a 13 mile jog. There was no wind, rain, lighting, earthquakes, or hail. In Oklahoma, you can't ask for better. In fact, I ended up having one of my faster times, 2:24.
Despite what this picture looks like I am running.

Blogger World, no race is complete without cheerleaders. THESE PEOPLE are the best!!!
Thank you for sitting in a car for two hours, driving ALL around OKC to see us run, and getting up at 5am on a Sunday! It was very much appreciated!

Weekend Update

Do you know what happens when one of my siblings has an Accounting conference in Nashville, TN?

The whole family comes along!

This past weekend my whole family joined Sister #1 in Nashville, TN. It was a great weekend getaway. I absolutely love Nashville! The weekend was full of food, history, walking around, more food, and seeing great sites.

The first night we had dinner on a rooftop. Fun fact...you can actually eat outside in Nashville.
No wind!

This burger had pimento cheese on it. Delicious!

If you have not toured the Grand Ole Opry you must! It's worth the money. This was my second time and I learned a few new things.

Carnton Plantation

I couldn't have asked for a better weekend in Nashville.
Thanks Nashville, it's always a pleasure to see you.

Be honest....

Am I'm too old to rock this outfit?

Yes.

Ok, just making sure.

One more thing.

Why does the boyfriend jean look good on everyone but me?

My Favorite Things

Blogger World, it's time for another list of my favorite thing. As normal, love them or hate them, it's up to you.

This book
Have you guys heard of this book? It's about George Washington's spies. Did you know George Washington used spies to win the Revolutionary War? No? See, you need to read the book! It's true, he used spies to help win the war.

Athleta Ultra Light Capris

Here's a couple reasons why I love these capris:
1) They suck and tuck everything.
If you do not know what this means...shut up because no one likes you.
2) The wide band at the top prevents muffin top.
If you do not know what a muffin top is...shut up because no one likes you.
3) The pocket in the back.

Greek Yogurt

I've been a fan of Greek Yogurt for years. However, this stuff takes the cake! It's light/fluffy, low in sugar, full of protein, and taste wonderful when you pair it with honey.

Fitbit

To say I'm obsessed with my Fitbit is an understatement. I wear this thing everywhere, and I'm constantly checking my phone to see how many steps I've taken. Everyday my goal is to walk 12,000 steps. I know this sounds easy, but it's really not. There are some days I walk in place just to get my 12,000 steps. True story.

And...this concludes my newest list.

It's hump day!

Folks, we've made it to hump day. Good work! To help everyone look towards the weekend, I thought I'd post pictures from last weekend. I had a busy weekend....

This cutie pie discovered my bag of jewelry. She selected a few pieces to try on and decided she needed a picture. I think she did a fabulous job with her jewelry selections.

Sister #2 had a birthday. We had delicious hamburgers, ice cream cake, and cupcakes to help celebrate.
Happy 23rd Birthday Sister #2!

Canada Travis and I attended a fancy wedding. This is us in our fancy clothes.
See how fancy the flowers are in the background? Like I said...fancy.

The weekend ended with a race. It was a wet run, but I think everyone had fun.
Who doesn't like running in the rain?
