My Favorites

Happy Hump Day! What better way to celebrate than with a list of my favorite things.
Enjoy....

Fitbit
Blogger World, allow me to introduce you to my new workout gadget; Fitbit. The Fitbit allows me to monitor the number of steps I take each day, calories, and water intake. I love this gadget! Everyday my goal is to walk 10,000 steps. It's kind of a hard challenge.

What'sUp App

This $.99 app allows me to talk/text people all over the world. No, it really does.

Fox The Five

Around Christmas time I discovered The Five. I love the round table discussions. It's like The View, but only better! In fact, I DVR the show everyday. Who DVR's a news show? This girl!

Travel Purse

I love my new travel purse. I received the purse for Christmas, and I've already used it on 3 trips. When I was in Mexico I learned the purse is waterproof. So, not only does it have a 1,000 pockets, it also keeps my phone dry when I dump a bottle of water in my purse. True story.

Born Maldives

I've been rocking these sandals all summer. Needless to say, I've gone from wearing mostly black to mostly brown. It's amazing that one shoe, or sandal, has that power.

I'm all listed out. Hope you enjoyed My Favorites.

The Garden

In the spring, The Sisters and I decided to plant our first garden. We spent many hours getting the soil ready for herbs and vegetables. After our raised bed was built we planted our garden. We loaded it with all kinds of good things- tomatoes, squash, eggplant, peppers, and lots of herbs. The Sisters and I were very excited!

May and June were very kind months to my state. We had below normal temperatures and above average rain; all components to a fantastic garden.

July has brought us a few 100 degree days. However I'm not complaining, because I'll take a couple 100 degree days over 60 days straight of 100. Today our garden does not look as green. In fact, we've already lost a vegetable. Last week, squash finally lost it's battle to bugs. RIP Squash!

Everything else is going strong. The cherry tomatoes and bell peppers have done awesome. I'm sure I've picked over 100 cherry tomatoes.

Blogger World, if you ever think about planting a garden I highly recommend it!
I've had a blast with our garden. I'm already making plans for more beds for next year.

Sister #2

In my family Sister #2 is the photographer.  Below is an example of her fine work.

All kidding aside, she really is a good photographer, which is why she's our go-to picture taker. At first she was given the title because when she took a picture it turned clear. Oh, and she could take a picture without cutting off people's heads. However, over the past few years Sister #2 has improved on her picture taking/editing skills. Here are a few of Sister #2's pictures from San Francisco.

I'm back

You can cancel the search party. I am alive!

You might be wondering what I've been doing for the past month?

No?

Well, you are going to hear about it anyway, so sit back and enjoy the pictures.

First, I went to Mexico with this guy,

and this was our view every day.

In my opinion, it wasn't a horrible view. We had a very fun and relaxing vacation in Mexico. The kind of vacation where I was able to catch up on all my Martha Stewart magazines.

After Mexico, the family and I went to San Francisco.

While in San Francisco rode a cable car. Not a trolley, a cable car.
During our cable car ride I discovered Sister #2 has never heard the Rice-A-Roni song. Another fail on my behalf. Sorry America.

Also, while in San Francisco I learned how to make Fortune Cookies.
FYI...Fortune Cookie making is not in my future. I was horrible!

My family likes to eat. We ate wonderful food while on vacation. For example, I ate this whole box of treats.
I'm just kidding; or am I kidding?

While you ponder if I ate an entire box of treats, I'll wrap this up.

It's good to be back.
