Back to Reality

Monday, I returned to work. It was a bummer. However, before I return to normal day-to-day blogging, I'm going to share one more post full of vacation pictures. A post full of pictures is less of me yapping about food/Jazzercise/running/Fitbit/TV. See, I do care about you guys.

Lighthouses
Every time I saw a lighthouse I was reminded of the movie Pete's Dagon. Do you remember this movie? No? I'm old as dirt? Ok, good. Moving on...

Food Tour
Everyone should go on a Food Tour. It's a great way to learn about a city, while tasting local cuisine.

House
We rented this house for our visit. Sister #1 booked it using Airbnb. My family enjoyed staying in a house opposed to a hotel. It was nice to spread out and not be on top of each other in a hotel room.

Ok, I'll stop with the pictures. This is my final vacation post.

Out of Office II

Yesterday, was a great day in Maine. The highlight of the day was attending a cooking class at Stonewall Kitchen.

If you are not familiar with Stonewall Kitchen, you should get to know them. Stonewall Kitchen makes my FAVORITE jam and BBQ sauce. I was beyond excited about attending the cooking class.
So was everyone else...
The menu for the class was crab cakes, Cornish Hen, pasta, and a blueberry lemon cake. It was all delicious, especially the cake!

If you ever find yourself in York, Maine please visit Stonewall Kitchen. You will not be sorry!

Out of Office

Right now, I'm on holiday. The family and I are vacationing in Portland, Maine. Folks I'm not going to lie, summer in Maine is fabulous! Today, the temperature 67 degrees. Yes you read right, 67 degrees!!!  This sure beats the 95 degrees that Oklahona is experiencing. Anyway, enough about the temperature. Here are some highlights from the past couple days.

He ate this by himself!

We visited a brewery. Even though I'm
not a beer drinker, it was very interesting.

This is Lobster for sale at Walgreens. Yes, the drug store.

Tonight, we are taking a cooking class. We are hoping to become crab cakes experts. I'll let you know how that goes.

Racecar Woman

This weekend I finally got to be Racecar Woman! I must say, I made some delicious treats.

Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies
These are fantastic!! It's a super sweet treat involving Peanut Butter, Powdered Sugar, and other non-healthy ingredients.

Creamy Fettuccine w/ Spicy Sausage and Cherry Tomatoes
I give this recipe 2 thumbs up! It's semi-healthy, there's tomatoes and onions. The recipe calls for fresh Basil, but small town Oklahoma did not have Basil, or dried Basil. The town must be a Basil free zone.

I highly recommend both these recipes!

Busy

The past couple of weeks life has been busy.

First, there was a wedding to attend.

The bride is Canada Travis's sister. The outdoor wedding ended up being outdoors. Due to all the rain no one knew if we'd be able to pull off an outdoor wedding. It worked out, and everything looked great. It was muddy, so I decided rain boots were essential.

Second, Canada Travis finally got to race again!! This means Racecar Woman made a delicious dinner for everyone. It was a tasty pulled pork sandwich for the crew. Sadly, no pictures.

Third, these adorable puppies are fun to be around.

They're so cute!!

Hope your summer is busy and fun too!
