Look at me I'm a Food Blogger

A few months ago, I wrote a post about my Sunday night dinner. Remember? It was my sad attempt of being a Food Blogger. However, you guys were impressed with culinary masterpiece of Sloppy Joes, Broccoli & Cheese, and Box Potatoes.

Well, today I made another culinary masterpiece. I made myself an Apple Treat for one. I call it Apple Treat, because it was the only name I could think of this afternoon, and the "for one" part goes without saying.

Since I'm a great blogger, I took a few pictures of the Apple Treat process. I say Apple Treat process pretty loosely. I don't have the whole cooking/picture taking down very well, or at all. But here goes ....

First up, the fine ingredients that make an Apple Treat possible.

As you can see all you need is one green apple, brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter, cinnamon, and crescent rolls. See, very simple! I don't do complicated recipes, that's why I don't like that skinny Italian chick on the Food Network. She has way too many steps!

Second step is very important. I washed, pealed, and diced the green apple. I guess you could use a red apple for this made up recipe. I used a green apple because I've had the green apple longer. I was afraid the green apple was about to spoil. I hate having to throw away fruit. It breaks my heart.

Next, I mixed the diced apple, butter, both types of sugar, cinnamon, and butter in a small bowl. No that is not a typo, I meant to say butter twice. I'm from the South! Also, I have no amounts for you. I'm flying by the seat of my pants with this recipe. Let's cross our fingers it turns out good. After everything is all mixed. I placed the bowl in the oven to cook for about 15-20 minutes. I'm not really for sure how long, but this is my guess. Again, flying by the seat of my pants on this recipe.

While the apples are cooking I killed time by doing something productive.
I used the time to watch last week's Hellcats episode. Oh, did you really expect something productive? Right.

When Hellcats was getting really good, I checked the apples. I didn't want to forget about them. I found that they are soft and ready for the last part. The Crescent roll part. I placed 2 Crescent Rolls on top of the apples. But after this step I realized Crescent Rolls looked bare and low fat, so I sprinkled sugar, butter, and cinamon on top. You know, just for kicks and more calories.

Ten minutes later I had a culinary masterpiece.
I must say it looked amazing. However, it was still missing something.

I decided one scoop of ice cream was a must for this Apple Treat for one...
The final verdict was it was yummy. I must say, I was delighted that this recipe turned out good. Feel free to steal this recipe. I will not sue you.

We made something similar last spring when I went camping with the boys to Alabaster caverns. We made them in a dutch oven and poured 7-up all over them. Very yummy.

Woah. Now that's a little bit of heaven in a bowl right there. Nice work my food blogger friend!

Anything with apples, cinnamon, butter and ice cream is my best friend. That looks so good.

You ARE a food blogger!

Looks good. So you watch Hellcats? I see the previews for it during Family Feud sometimes and think about watching it, but then I never do.

You did good! Granny Smith's are the best for baking in my opinion, so you chose wisely.
