The fastest way to my heart

This morning I stopped for my routine caffeine fix. I’m seriously getting addicted to these stupid nonfat Chais. Anyway, I walked inside my beloved Strabucks when the unthinkable happened….

Good morning OK Chick. I just started your drink. I hope it’s a Tall Day and not a Grande Day!

I was blown away! Talk about service. The guy knew my name, my real name, and he had my drink ready by the time I paid. Zero wait time. There was even a huge line at the drive-thru, and they still took care of me first. I love Starbucks. I don’t care what you say! My MBA friend, Thomas, always said Starbucks is the Wal-Mart of coffee; or something like that. But I disagree when it comes to service. The last time I checked, no one at Wal-Mart knew my name. Heck, they aren’t even friendly half the time. Today, I tip my hat off to my Strabucks guy. Thanks for making my morning. It’s because of you that I am going broke and addicted to these overpriced drinks.

I have never had that kind of service at a Starbucks, but when I used to drink coffee more I have struck up some great relationships with people who worked in places near my office.
I don't drink coffee much now so I prefer to have good stuff when I do... luckily in NZ that is pretty easy.... oh I sound like a coffee snob! Don't be fooled, I cringe a little every time I order a latte (soy, decaf) these days. It's pretty embarassing really, but it's the only way I can have one without bouncing off the roof or getting a very sore stomach!

Either you're in there a lot or someone has a crush on you. ;)

Either way it was great service!

Nah, he's not instead. He just wants a big tip. HA!
