Help, I need somebody, Help, not just anybody

It’s 3:00pm on Thursday. Why is this so important? Well it’s Cookie Thursday…my invention. About two months ago, I sweet talked one of the vendors to bring Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies every Thursday. At the time it was a brilliant idea; I still think it’s a brilliant idea. However, now I’m trying to be a good healthy girl and resist the warm chocolate chip cookie. Also, I need my new clothes to continue to fit. As of right now, I’ve resisted the warm cookie for about 2 minutes. Folks, you are seeing will power at it’s finest!!! I’m a healthy eater, but hot cookies are a weakness. Hopefully, if I keep typing this post I’ll forget about the cookies. Highly doubtful, but it’s worth a try.

To help keep my mind off the cookies I will post about my newest adventure…another half marathon. Last week I started training for my 4th half marathon. This half marathon is important because I’m going to rerun my first ever half marathon, in hopes of improving my performance. It shouldn’t be too hard. My first half marathon was in Dallas, which is where I will return in December. Three years ago when I ran my first half marathon I did horrible. My time was horrible and to make matters worse I spent three hours after the race in the medical tent puking my guts out. Like I said, I did horrible. I began the hardcore training with a goal. My goal is to run this half marathon in or under two hours. So until December, no more cookies! Alright, we all know that cannot happen. Blogger World, surely you have clued in on my love for food, which does include hot chocolate chip cookies. So the odds of resisting a cookie every Thursday for like three months is pretty slim. But today I have been strong. If I’m not mistaken, all the cookies are gone. This means I can wrap up this post, because you have helped me get through my cookie meltdown. Thanks, blogger world.

You know, when you finally break down and have one, something will happen. Like half of it will drop on the floor or they will have a "surprise" in them. For me and choc chip cookies, the surprise is usually raisins.!!

Um, if you're running a half marathon, you eat a cookie.

The End.

But my answer is to always eat a cookie.

Oh man... you don't want me to ever get your address. I love baking... but I don't eat what I bake. So that means I send it to unsuspecting family and friends O:-)

(I do love someone else's hot chocolate chip cookies though. Yum!)

Good luck on your next half marathon! I'm sure you'll do wayyyyyyy better than your first one. :)

P.S. I got my HG cookbook yesterday! I spent about an hour last night reading through it, mentally tabbing like 50 recipes I want to try!

I used to work in an office with Otis Spunkmeyer cookies. YUM! I miss them...but luckily I haven't had any access to them in years.

I think there must be a way to include cookies in your training program. ;) but it would probably be better if you avoid them.

I'm sure you'll do much better on this marathon than the last one...you know what to avoid this time...right?
