Insta-Lately

Blogger World, it's been a crazy week, but pictures have been taken along the way. Here are a few pictures I'd post on my Instagram.

Canada Travis and I Thundered Up..

We made a visit to Pops. It was Canada Travis's first time to visit the hamburger/soda shop.

He tweeted about his visit...
Confession: He's not on Twitter.

The Cousin and I ran our first race together...

It's been a busy week, but a good one.
Happy Friday!

2014 Garden

Last year, The Sisters and I planted our first garden. Blogger World I don't know if you remember, but we were quite the gardeners. We planted the garden in May, and by June everything was in full bloom.

Not bad for a couple city girls. Ok fine, a couple suburb girls. Whatever.

Anyway, this year we have planted another garden. Saturday, Sister #2 and I spent hours getting the garden ready for vegetables. I thought it turned out pretty well...

Here's the starting lineup for the 2014 Garden...
 four tomato plants,
six bell pepper plants,
one jalapeno plant,
one banana pepper plant,
two lettuce plants,
and
70 onions plants.

What? We like onions; and the onion plants were given to me.

Here's to another summer of being farmers!!!

Thunder Up!

Monday night I had the chance to attend the first Thunder vs. Clippers playoff game. Despite Thunder's loss, I had a great time. Here are few pictures from the evening.

Everyone looks good in the blue shirts. It was reported blue t-shirts are our lucky color.
They were wrong.

Canada Travis and I before the game.
We're still working on our selfie pose.

One of my favorite parts of Thunder games...the dessert cart!!

Here's to a win tonight!

Mr. Reliable

Yesterday, the local paper published this about Oklahoma's beloved Kevin Durant...

Last night, Mr. Unreliable showed them who's boss.

Congrats to Oklahoma's favorite team!

The 5 things you should know...

1. George Clooney is off the market.
He's engaged to a lawyer; a very pretty lawyer. I have to give it to George, it looks like he found brains and beauty. Good work my friend! Confession: George Clooney and I are not friends. Another Confession: we've never met. I know, shocking confessions.

2. Prince Harry is now available.
If it's your dream to marry a prince; you are in luck! All the news outlets are reporting Prince Harry and his longtime girlfriend have broken up. I have to be honest, I always thought Prince Harry was the cuter brother.

Ok, I feel like we should review because I threw some heavy information at you.

#1- George Clooney is off the market.
#2- Prince Harry is on the market.

Everyone good? Ok, moving on...

3. An Oklahoma boy needs your help!
Robert Tanner of Oklahoma is in a Doodle contest with Google. He's competing along 50 other young artist. The winner's doodle will appear on the Google.com homepage and he or she will receive a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his or her school. Please vote for this kiddo! Here's the link to help Robert out.  Come on...help Robert out!

4. Thunder lost.

It was a stressful game. We lost in overtime, again. Thunder is trying to give Oklahomans a heart attack!

5. April 30th is The Lost Holiday.
This April 30 marks the 225th Anniversary of the U.S. Constitution being put into operation. Many might remember that April 30, 1789 was the day that George Washington took the oath of office and gave his inaugural address. But lest we forget, this very act also marked the launching of the American Constitutional System.

And those are the 5 things you should know.

Half Marathon Completed

Sunday was the Oklahoma Memorial Marathon. Cool Coworker and I ran the half marathon.

Here we are before the race started; which was also before the rain, lighting and hail started.

Don't worry I was prepared for the rain; hence the trash bag I'm holding in the picture.
In my simple mind, wearing a trash bag was going to save me from the down pour and hail.
Thankfully, Oklahoma Memorial Marathon folks knew better and delayed the start time two hours.

Have you ever wondered what 26,000 people do during a two hour rain delay?
Well, today is your lucky day because I have the answer.

We hang out in parking garages...

We hang out in a church...

Basically 26,000 people hang out anywhere that will keep us dry. Otherwise you were this guy....

The two hour rain delay was a curse and blessing. The blessing is we didn't have to run in the rain/lighting/wind/hail. The curse is by the time the race started, I'd peed 5 times and my 4:15am breakfast was gone.

However, we survived and ran a great race.  The weather ended up being perfect for a 13 mile jog. There was no wind, rain, lighting, earthquakes, or hail. In Oklahoma, you can't ask for better. In fact, I ended up having one of my faster times, 2:24.
Despite what this picture looks like I am running.

Blogger World, no race is complete without cheerleaders. THESE PEOPLE are the best!!!
Thank you for sitting in a car for two hours, driving ALL around OKC to see us run, and getting up at 5am on a Sunday! It was very much appreciated!

Word

Sunday, I'll be running a half marathon which means I'm allowed to eat 337 M&Ms.
