I love the weekend

It's only Thursday and I am already plotting my weekend. This weekend is the OU/TX football game, which means my state will pretty much shut down for the weekend. I'm not kidding. There is no life outside of OU/TX football. Since nothing else will be taking place this weekend, I'm planning to cook and bake all kinds of delicious foods. I've listed some of things I plan to make this weekend....

Pumpkin Biscuits
Peanut Butter Cheese Ball
Cabbage Stew- my grandma's recipe, sorry she doesn't blog
Skinny Elvis Sandwich
Breakfast Quesadillas

If everything goes to plan I will have an awesome meal every 4 hours. HA! Here's to the weekend and all the calories that will come with it.

I may have to try the almond butter/Elvis sandwich thing!

And, there is something else happening this weekend! The play at EMHS. I think the drama teacher had to book the dates long before she knew the football schedule! You can come join us if you want...we are going to the Saturday night show at 7 p.m. I'm feeding the cast kids every night this week at 5 p.m.!

Anyway, it's a theater "experience" but only lasts for one hour - and it's cheap. It's called, "I Never Saw Another Butterfly" - It's about the holocaust. Let me know if you're interested!

The seniors wanted to watch that game at our house.....I'm sure it has nothing to do with their coach is a for hard Texas fan.....and let's be honest it'll be a miracle for OU to loose, but you didn't hear that from me! I'm making typical football watching food!

The Quesadillas sound yummy only I wouldn't use the butter on them. I could probably get my picky family to eat them if I made them with bacon...we should try some of that other kind of bacon.

Oh man, that peanut butter cheese ball looks really good. I can't believe I just clicked on four recipe links. Also, a little disappointed Grandma #1 doesn't blog.

Ah yes and Texas traffic becomes a nasty mess. Plus it was the opening game of the Rangers Tigers series.

I stayed home.

Your food sounds wonderful.
