Life of a Bachelorette

I had a lunch date. It was with an adult, not a two year old. I haven't been on a date in a year, which in my opinion is pretty sad but whatever that's my life.

A fellow blogger set up the date. Correction, she sent him a facebook message suggesting he should meet me, which left the ball in his court. Sidenote:I'd like to take a moment to give this guy props. He did not facebook me. He sent me a text, and suggested we have lunch. I like the text message communication. I like that we didn't spend a month sending facebook emails, which lead to no where.

The lunch date was pleasant. It was very informal. We met at Chick-fil-a . I paid for my own lunch, which means I ordered the grilled chicken fruit salad. I didn't stress about what to wear.
During lunch I didn't want to stab my right eye out, and he didn't suggest we eat at Chili's. Also, this guy is pretty out going so their wasn't awkward silence, which there usually isn't with me. I could talk to a brick wall.

After the lunch we both said it was fun and agreed to do it again. In my opinion, we both walked away thinking it was fun and we'd made a new friend. You can never have too many friends. Oh now Blogger World don't be sad. I think this lunch was a success. I met a new friend. A new eating partner or seat partner. You guys know I struggle with seat partners.

Lesson learned....nothing really. I'm always open to blind dates, because you never know who you'll meet.

I'm glad you met someone new. That's always good and can lead to more later sometimes.

Good for you! Having people give me "referrals" is the next part of my little social experiment. It takes boldness to put yourself out there!

You asked how's it going... it's... frustrating today. :) I tend to go back and forth with my attitude about it. Yesterday I was ready to trash the whole project. Today I'm in a more "moderate" place. :)

It sounds like you met a nice guy. Getting out there is the only way to find Mr right and if you make a new friend in the process, all the better! Not to mention, I always love a stop at chick-fil-a. :)
