Public Service Announcement

Blogger World, meet Ryan.

As I mentioned the other day, I went to Dallas for a girls trip. It was a great trip. We shopped, ate, relived old college tales, ate some more, and visited friends that now live in Dallas.

Ryan is one of those friends.

Ryan also had two single friends that hung out with us.

After thirty minutes of chatting with one of the friends I was about to declare Ryan my hero. One of the friends seemed great. He was cute, very funny, and had health insurance. But then things went downhill, because things always go downhill.

Ryan's Friend: This girl I'm talking to, is blowing up my phone tonight.
Me: What did you just say?
Ryan Friend's: The girl I'm kind of dating, is blowing up my phone.

Folks, I feel pretty strongly that only rappers and Ke$ha can get away with saying the phrase blowing up my phone. An average boy from Texas, cannot get away with saying the phrase. He just can't.

Guys, please listen to me. I want to help you. Under no circumstances should you ever say blowing up my phone. I believe this will help you greatly. Greatly.

Thank you for listening!

I love that your concern is not that he's dating someone but that he uses the term "blowing up my phone"....

Hilair.

PS I wanted that dress you are wearing in the pic but didn't think I could rock it. You carry it off quite nicely.

am i supposed to know what that term means? Cuz I don't.

Is the guy in the pix the friend? He's very cute.

but yeah Ryan's friend isn't the right guy.

So you're more concerned that he's saying "blowing up my phone" than the fact he might be dating someone. That's funny.

Maybe he's gangsta and you just don't know it.

If he's using phrases like "blowing up my phone" there is no possible way we could get along.

Renee- Ryan is in the picture.

Thank you Emily, you are so sweet. I know you could rock the dress. If I can, you definitely can!

What does that phrase mean? I'm imagining rude alternatives so you need to fill me in.

Oh and I'm having trouble commenting with my wordpress id, please don't think I'm neglecting you, I just lose my attention span by the time it rejects me and I can't be bothered re-typing my witty responses.

Scotty- I hope you are not talking about me? I'm staying put. Do you see my hair in that picture. Texas humidity and my hair do not mix.

Waughs- Nope he's not taken. Interested? Kidding. :)

Nope, me!

Oh man, yeah, an average white boy from TX should not be uttering that phrase. Ever.

ps: why not date ryan?

OK Chick said...

Neither party is interested in the other. TC, you interested? I can make a call.
