Gray Hair???

I’m 28 years old. I have no stress in my life. I don’t have screaming kids running around my house, a dog pooping in the living room, and a husband gripping about my recent trips to Ann Taylor Loft and Starbucks. My life is pretty much stress-less, which yes, stress-less is a word I just made up…deal with it.
Well you can imagine my surprise, when in San Francisco I noticed a few gray hairs on my head! Yes, gray hairs! At first I thought it was time to visit my trusty eye doctor, because my eyes MUST being going bad, or maybe the lighting in the bathroom was bad, OR maybe the gray hairs are really blonde. It’s a fact that in the summer my hair turns lighter. Yes, there’s no way I have gray hairs, it must be one of those things. Still, Saturday night in our fancy hotel bathroom I inspected the gray; I mean blonde hairs in the fancy super-up-close hotel mirror. Blogger World, it appears I am getting old, because I have gray hairs. Multiple gray hairs! Do you realize I’m going to have a full head of gray hair before I have a decent date? Folks, please excuse me, I need to call my hair lady for a color appointment.

Ah yes, the past year has multiplied my gray hair. :( Noooooo. And let's just say that at 27 I'm not buying the whole "gray hair is a crown of splendor attained by a righteous life" thing. :)

I've had the same 3 gray hairs in the same area since I was about your age. Thankfully (according to my hair dresser) they are still the only ones. So maybe it won't be as bad as you fear...and at least you're hair is light so they won't be noticable.

I've had gray hair since I was about 23. It is purely genetic! Fortunately I am a guy and it makes me look more distinguished.

I wouldn't be too hasty with the hair coloring ;)

I rode down the escalator last week behind a guy who should have a full head of silver/gray hair, but being vain he'd chosen to dye it his natural color, and being Filipino that meant jet black. He was also behind on his dye job so his gray roots were showing, as in a good inch or more of gray roots, and because he parted his hair in the middle he had an inch-wide silver skunk stripe running front to back along the part-line. It probably wouldn't have been that obvious except I was behind and above him on the escalator so it really stood out.

I'm almost 40 and have a lot of gray hairs but I keep my hair really short (& I have light brown hair to begin with...what's left of it ;) so the gray hairs are not as obvious as they could be.

Thank God for hair dye!

I'm blonde and my mum is not grey at 58 and neither was her mother who had black hair when she died. So I think I'm going to be really, really lucky in the greying stakes.

Varacoise veins and other such lovelies I don't think I'll be so lucky with though. Sigh.

Oh man.

So the other night, when I was searching through old drafts to find something to post to participate in NaBloSo... I forget. And obviously Bone did too, as he changed it this year. But I digress.

Anyway. I found a post I wrote almost two years ago about the night I found my first gray hair. This is hilarious.
