In Loving Memory

This weekend I had a shoe death. My favorite summer shoe has gone to Shoe Heaven.

It happened over two days, so it was a slow process. At first, I had hope of a quick recovery. However on Sunday, I realized it was a lost cause.

First, there was an accident.
This is when I thought a quick, 2-3 week, recovery was possible.

What happen next is hard to view. You might want to turn your heads.
I've had these Chacos for 11 years. We've shared so many great memories together.  They've walked all around the world together; keeping my feet comfortable. As my mom always says; you have to take care of your feet because you can't get new ones.  My Chacos took care of my feet! Thank you Chacos, you were good to me.

You can send your Chacos in & have them resoled & the straps fixed...apparently people are quite attached to their Chacos! The department that fixes them gets funny messages about how much the chacos being sent in are loved! I feel like your love for your Chacos just might warrant having them fixed! :)

Lori- Sister #1 has used the Chaco doctors. I was thinking since I've had theses sandals for so long I'd treat myself to new ones. However, I'm having a hard time pitching the sandals. I will probably send them off.

hey! Even a male redneck knows what it's losing best feet friends. I'm ex military and loved combat boots both active duty and later. My latest pair recently had a blowout at the outer seam, right boot. I still haven't been able to bring myself to say "goodbye". I feel your loss.
