My First Giveaway

No work day for me. I took off. Most normal people would have slept in and enjoyed the time off.

Not me. It's only 8:0am and I've already done two loads of laundry, swam for 40 minutes, and ran/biked a mile. Yes, I'm one of those human beings. I'm talking about the sick people that cannot enjoy a vacation day, unless it involves an airplane and H&M. But I'm ok with this sick side of myself. My mom told me it was one of the benefits of being A.D.D.

After I biked/swam/biked/ran I was pretty hungry. Afterall, it was 8am. My favorite time of the day, breakfast time. The prefect breakfast after a hard workout is oatmeal. It is for me. One of my favorite accessories of oatmeal, is peanut butter. I LOVE peanut butter in my oatmeal. Have you guys tried it? You should. Well, this morning I decided to try my new packet of Justin's Chocolate Almond Butter Pack.

Man, this stuff is tasty! I feel so strong about it, that I am going to give away two packets of Justin's Almond Butter. That's right folks, I'm going to run a giveaway!!! It's my first giveaway. Are you excited? I'm excited.

Here's how it's going to work.

1. You must be a member of my blog.

2. Leave a comment telling me your favorite oatmeal combination.

I will pick the winner Sunday @ 3:37pm. The winner will be posted Sunday evening. SO folks, you pretty much have ALL weekend to take advantage of this giveaway. Happy commenting.

Brown sugar, some ground nutmeg, and a splash of milk (or 1/2 & 1/2) to cool it down and cream it up :)

eek! I love Justin's...I haven't tried the chocolate almond butter yet. My fave is the cinnamon peanut butter. My fav oatmeal recipie is oatmeal with pumpkin puree, a little bit of maple syrup for sweetness, and some almonds and nutmeg on top.

my oatmeal looks a lot like a cookie when I'm done with it. Brown sugar, pecans or walnuts (what I have at the time) and raisins or craisins. YUM!

gotta stock up for our camping trip...this cold front we have now makes me so glad we got a cabin. :D

brown sugar and bananas....yummy! I guess I'll follow you, is that a member? I don't really know, I don't follow people, but I read your blog everytime it is new!! Oh, and Karla saved me a book so I'm going to start that same Bible Study, I needed one to do and if I do the same one as my mom we can talk about it, so now I can talk about it with you too! I told her how cool you were! Really I said well we went to school together, and hung out a little, but really I just saw her at every run I've ever done, just about! Okay now I've written a book, enjoy your day off, let me know what that's like!

Well, I'll give you our classic standby. I add a pat of butter and hide in the oatmeal so it can melt. Then I sprinkle brown sugar over the top of the oatmeal and sprinkle a few raisins for good measure. Finally, I had a little bit of milk to the whole thing and with that, it's ready to eat!

Chocolate almond butter, whoooowee! That sounds delicious. I might have to see if I can rig the contest so I win! :)

I enjoy some good ole p.b. stirred right in. But also, I like to microwave an apple and cut it up and throw it in. DELICIOUS.

But don't just throw the apple in the microwave, it'll explode. Cut it in half, place it face down in a bowl and fill the bowl half full with water. Micro it for 3 minutes. It's really hot when it comes out...let it sit for a few minutes.

Also, top it with some cinnamon.

Oh Girl, I just discovered this stuff recently too! Scott and i went to Whole Foods to buy all the different chocolate packets they had. I will say that my fave is the chocolate hazelnut. Just nutella...but better for you...right? Funny thing, Scott wanted to find a jar of it and I said no! If we had a jar it would last about a day...at least the packets are portioned controlled. :)

My old roommate always used peanut butter. She said the protein helped her stay full for a lot longer than oatmeal itself.

I slept in. It was my birthday. I deserved it!
