On an island in the sun....

We’ll be playing and having fun.....

Blogger World, for today let's pretend we are on an island in the sun having fun! If that's not your cup of tea, which I have no idea why this wouldn't be your cup of tea, you can pretend you are battling the cold temperatures with skis attached to your feet.

Whatever works for you. Personally, I could go either way. This morning, while getting dressed, I felt like I was preparing to hit the slopes. Of course, our highs of 17 are nothing compared to what TC and Renee go through all winter. I get it, I'm a wimp!

I could definitely go for an island in the sun right about now. Maybe I'll see if I haver a tank that's stretchy enough to pull over my growing tummy, layered over my long sleeve shirt and under my fleece jacket. You know, just to really get into the spirit of it all.

I convinced my boss to let us wear whatever we wanted today. I am wearing leggings, thermal socks, jeans, thermal base layer, long-sleeved t-shirt, and hoodie.

It doesn't get any wimpier than that!

I bet TC and Renee don't have it that bad. They probably exaggerate a lot :)

I saw someone on Good Morning America today that made me think of you. She calls herself the Hungry Girl. Ever heard of her?

Oh wow! A personal shout out! Yeah today the lows were below zero. And I had to be out there in it. I so love my new car w/ heated seats!

I will take the island vacation please! :D

BONE: I saw that! And normally our winters have a day of really bad and then the sun comes out and we get up above 40 degrees and it isn't so bad. But this year it has been bitter cold with weeks on end of below 10 temps. Our heating bill is through the roof!
You may come visit and go skiing any time! (course next week we're going out of town) so any time after that.

There are places that exist (socal) where you can do both. In fact, we have what I like to call the 'SoCal Challenge' where you start the day skiing, drive down to the beach and surf, and end the day with the optional skate session.

Btw, I'm writing this while wearing a t shirt and shorts.

Bone: do you have a chaffeur to drive you through the snow? Cuz I'm guessing you don't know how since all you Southerners cancel everything for three days with even the threat of snow :)

HAHA! I bet he doesn't know who to drive thru snow, because I don't know how to drive thru snow. And yes, we do cancel everything for snow/ice. Ok even cancels stuff for cold temps.
