The year I was a cheerleader

This past weekend was the OK Memorial Marathon. It's one of my favorite races. I love seeing the sea of runners. Every year it gives me goosebumps.

This year, I did not participate in the race. However, I did get up early to cheer on my dad and uncle. Both ran the half marathon.

It was a successful race! My uncle was happy with his time, and my dad was happy he didn't end up in the medical tent.

I must say, being a cheerleader was very fun! Sure, I missed running but sometimes life happens and you have to adapt. It was a fun morning!!! I'm happy my family enjoys getting up at 4:45am to cheer on crazy runners. It makes life a little more fun.

#badass

Yesterday, I had my post chemo check up. I'm happy to report, I've been given the all clear sign. We've finally reached the finish line, and it feels GREAT!!! In honor of the news, my dad and I celebrated with the only way my family knows how to celebrate. Food!!!

One last sweet treat from the Stephenson Cancer Center, because that's how we roll!

Blogger World, thank you for all the prayers/good thoughts/messages sent my way. I appreciate every one of them.

# 100

Over one year ago, I set out to try 100 new recipes. The only rule was I had to follow the recipe exact. To make sure I didn't lose count, I kept a running list on my phone. Well Saturday morning, I finally reached 100!!!

A hundred new recipes is a lot, and I'm happy to say most were delicious. In true blogger fashion I documented my favorite. Here are a few of my faves...

Spa Day #3

A few weeks ago,  I had my final Spa Day.

As you can see from my smile, I was pumped it was my last one!!! Also, I was pumped to dive into that Strawberry cupcake I'm holding.  The Stephenson Cancer gives all patients a cupcake on their last chemo day. Blogger World, it was the best dang cupcake I have ever eaten!!! It was a hard earned cupcake for sure. Anyway, once again I've documented Spa Day #3 with pictures. Enjoy!

The nurse had a hard time finding a vein. She ended hitting the jackpot with this vein. The picture doesn't show it well, but I was poked in the back of my forearm. A new one for me.

A selfie with part of my chemo entourage. We were missing The Sisters,

My dad has been the head nurse during this time. He woke up the middle of the night to give me medicine. He made countless smoothies. He did yard work. He filled my car up with gas, and so much more!!!! I'm extremely lucky to have such a great dad!!!

A congratulations present from family in New York. These pretty flowers definitely brightened my mood.

Sadly, that's all the pictures I have from my final round. Mostly, because the next day I was sick. But let's not talk about being sick. I'm done, and that's all that matters!

While mom is away the furry friends will play

Canada Travis let Tiny Tank explore the outdoors. I think things went ok; until Tiny Tank discovered trees.

I don't know if you can see TT in the tree. Canada Travis told me he was about 20 feet up in this tree. Crazy kitty!!!
