Hockey Players

Friday night, Sister #1 and I were invited to attend a hockey game. It was my first time to see OKC's newest hockey team, Barons. I really can't tell you much info about Barons, or even much about hockey. I've been to hockey games before, but never fully understand what is going on during the game. What do you expect? I'm from Oklahoma. I didn't grow up playing hockey.

Like most hockey games I've attended, I'm into the game for the first quarter. Then I get restless. I don't want to say bored, because I don't get bored. I would say it's more... ready for a scenery change. This is usually when I start people watching. Sadly, Barons aren't drawing a huge crowd to their events.

Since attendance was low, I decided to look over the program. FOLKS, I have riveting news. After scanning the program, I quickly realized that OKC has recruited some very good looking hockey players....
Of course, there were more cute players but I do not have the patience for copying each of their pictures. Sorry.

I would like it noted that a hockey player fits my dating criteria. If anyone is wondering. First, they have health insurance. You know hockey players have good health insurance. I bet they have good dental too. Second, they're breathing. Third, they enjoy sporting events. I bet these guys enjoy going to Thunder games and other sporting events. I'm sure if they were invited to an OU/KU basketball game they wouldn't reply....I can't because I don't think I'll have enough time to get really. Of course, this is just an hypothetical example. This has never happened to me in real life, never.

If anyone knows where the hockey players hang out, let me know. I would like to meet a couple, or just one. I'd be ok with just meeting one hockey player.

Happy Tuesday!

This morning I woke up at 1:30am. Let's be honest? Can we really consider 1:30am morning? In my world, it's still consider night. College kids come home at 1:30am! No one wakes up at 1:30am. Either way, I did not receive the recommended hours of sleep. I received three hours.

Once upon a time, when I was getting my MBA, I would function on three hours of sleep. The end result was never pretty. It usually ended with me wanting to hit someone with a baseball bat.

In effort to not let this happen, I'm pledging that today will be Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone has a Happy Tuesday! If not, fake it so the people around you can have a Happy Tuesday.

*I would just like to point out that this random post about nothing is a good clue to what will come of the day.

The Forbidden Phrase

Last night I met a guy. Wait, let me start over.

Last night I hung out with guy. This guy, we will call him Dick, and I weren't strangers. We have known each other since college. So really, last night I hung out with an old friend.

Dick and I were at a birthday party for our dear friend Stephanie. Throughout the evening I was reminded that Dick is a great guy. He believes in God, fun to be around, has health insurance, and common sense. As a single person, believing in God, a personality, health insurance, and common sense are sometimes hard qualities to find. Yes, I'm being serious. No, I'm not just being picky.

Since Dick has those qualities, I started thinking. Why have I never noticed these things about Dick? Where have I been all these years? But then it happened. He used the forbidden phrase. When telling a story he said, and I quote, she was blowing up my phone.

Unless you are P.Diddy, Snoop Dogg, or Kesha I do not want to hear about anyone blowing up your phone. Do we have an understanding? I need to know you understand me. It's important to me.

Thank you for your time. I feel better to get this off my chest, again.

Welcome to the Family

Blogger World, I have exciting news. I have a new addition to my family. My new addition should fit it well with the fancy watch and Little Shuffle. They will be one happy family, who's goal is to keep me fit and healthy.

Today, this will be delivered....
I plan to place him in front of the TV. My thought is I can run or walk while watching TV. Brilliant Idea #99. However, for some reason this made Sister #2 laugh. She wondered if I was getting rid of the couch, and only have the treadmill in the room. I'm not doing that, if you were wondering. I'm not that crazy. I might scare away what little friends I have accumulated, and I like my friends.

Anyway, today this wonderful piece of equipment will be joining my happy family of 1.

The club can't even handle me right now.

It was 6am when I left my warm house for work. I arrived to the office at 6:20. The seven minute drive took 13 extra minutes, without visiting my morning friends at Starbucks. I can't complain. Well, I can complain about Starbucks. Yo Starbucks, clear your parking lot. From the road it appeared I would have to jump a mountain of snow to enter your parking lot. Not happening in my tiny corvette. I don't really drive a corvette.

Anyway, I did make it to work. I was the second employee here. The parking lot wasn't so clear, which annoyed me. I said very ugly things about my boss as I was bouncing around in my car praying I wouldn't get stuck. Apparently the snow clearer people forgot to clear the road that leads to the parking lot. It's an essential road.

This snow storm has taught me a few things about myself. Number one, I can clear my driveway all by myself. Sure it might take about 2-3 hours, but I can get it done. Number two, I can and will drive to work in crazy weather conditions. Gold star for me! I didn't slide one time on the adventure to work. I was going the safe speed of 20 mph. I'm for real.
I guess that's about all I learned about my self the past two days.

PS- Gena, I am wearing my Jeggings today. I have them paired with some boots with the fur.
Ok, I'm going to end this post because I've referenced two rap songs in the post. And not just any rap songs, two Flo Rida songs. I believe that's all time high.

Blizzard Post II

Day two of the blizzard was productive. First, I'm going to brag. Folks, look at my driveway. I did that myself. I did. I am woman hear me roar! I'm very happy about this accomplishment. It just feels good to do something all by yourself! Most of my neighbors had kids or husbands helping them clear their driveways. I had no one. After I conquered the driveway I had a couple visitors. The Sisters came by to bring me a drink from OnCue. Do you guys have an OnCue? It's just a gas station, but it's a good gas station. They carry top quality drinks, especially Hot Chocolate. Sorry Starbucks.

As you can see, Sister #1 is still having fun with her new shirt. To be completely honest, if I would have known about this neat trick, I would have bought a shirt too.

Sister #2 eventually got bored of just talking. She decided to entertain herself by taking pictures around the house. Sister #2 is a talented girl. Here's a few pictures she took around the house...

Well, that's about all I did today. The driveway was a chuck of my day, around two hours; which now doesn't seem like a big chunk of my day. However, it was worth it because afterwards I felt that it was ok to eat half a bag of chips. Oh don't judge I ate veggies with the chips, Spinach Dip.
In other news, right now I'm watching Dharma and Greg. Do you guys remember this show? It's pretty good. It's funny. I can undersatnd everything they are saying, because it's not on a Spanish channel. Anyway, I just thought I'd pass along that thought.

Blizzard Post I

Well, things have taken a dramatic turn since my last post. If you remember on Friday, I was bragging about spring temperatures.

Blogger World, today the temperature probably reached about 5 degrees, give or take. Oh and we also received about 10 inches of snow, and we had wind gust of 50 mph. Honest to goodness! At one point the weather people were saying the wind chill was -30, and they were not being dramatic! Again, honest to goodness truth.

Yet, I remind you I only have 25 channels, and about 10 of them are worthless. I did attemp to watch a Spanish Soap Opera to liven things up. I lasted about 20 seconds. I did not recognize any words. I would like it noted that I obviously did not learn a single thing in my high school Spanish Classes. I only took two classes.
Since TV wasn't really an option for me I decided to be productive.....
I cooked a few things- nothing worth mentioning.
Did some laundry.
Watched the newest episode of Greek-don't judge.
Worked out in my living room.
Spent 43:55 minutes on the phone with an IT guy.
Finished a few work projects.
Talk to my family- we're all alive thanks for asking.
Counted the cars drive by- there have been 7.
AND...
Ate the last Jello Pudding cup.
Yup, I believe that covers my day. Stop by tomorrow and I'll talk about color coding my socks. Kidding.
