I hurt!
Move over Sister #1, your 15 minutes of fame is over! Calm down, I'm kidding. I'm still very proud of Sister #1!!! But we need to move on...
This morning I woke up sore. Every part of my body hurts! I mean EVERY part!
Last week I contacted a good friend, who happens to be a personal trainer, to help me eliminate some extra jiggle. Lately, I've noticed more jiggles when I walk, and this is not ok with me. Oh spare me the...your beautiful because of your personality pep talk. The fact is no one likes to buy new clothes because they've put on a few pounds. No one.
Monday was our second time to meet. And like I said, I'm still sore. I have a feeling these moves are to blame...
Truth be told, feeling sore is a good feeling because it means I've worked hard. Before you know it my jiggle will be gone!!!

Give it up for Sister #1
Last week I mentioned Sister #1 was going to San Fransisco for Nike Women's Marathon. I'm proud to announce Sister #1 completed another half marathon, and she received her Tiffany & Co necklace.
Today, I raise my Nonfat Chai to Sister #1. Way to go Sister #1!!!!
Blogger World, I believe she's hooked on running.

Ramblings
It is time for one of my favorite post, Ramblings. Enjoy!
Last week I set a new goal for myself; to cook/bake a new recipe each week. Tonight, I'm trying two new recipes. I guess you could say I'm an overachiever. The recipes are Pumpkin Quesadillas and Apple/Carrot Salad. I'll keep you posted on this goal.
Recently, I read an article about Lady Gaga receiving a peace prize from Yoko Ono. Why is Yoko Ono giving out peace prizes? A better question, what did Lady Gaga do to win the peace prize? The article explains that Lady Gaga is being rewarded due to combining stardom with activism and changing "the mental map" of the world. Huh?
This weekend Sister #1 is running a half marathon. She's jetting off to San Francisco to run Nike Women's Marathon. The best part of this race is the finish....
Not only are firefighters patiently waiting for you to finish the race; they're waiting with a Tiffany & Co. necklace.
Today's Woot is glow sticks. I don't know why I would need glow sticks, but I feel I need to order the glow sticks.
This year I'm back in Fantasy Football. I'm in charge of my own team. If you remember, last year was my first year to participate in FF and I took second place. This year, I'm in 7th place. There's only 8 teams. Don't worry I'm not giving up. I'm predicting a MAJOR comeback.
Well folks I'm out of Ramblings....

Happy Dessert Day
Today, is National Dessert Day!
Growing up I was never a huge fan of desserts. Sure I'd eat the occasional Girl Scout cookie or brownie, but I was more of a real food girl. I wanted sandwiches, chips, hot dogs, and mac-n-cheese. You know, real processed crap.
As my taste-buds matured, I quickly realized desserts aren't so bad. In fact, they are rather tasty and awesome. Therefore, it should be no surprise to anyone that I will be celebrating National Dessert Day. The dessert I will be consuming is still under consideration.
I might have a tasty cupcake...
or maybe a giant slice of cookie cake...
I will probably spend 8 hours thinking of my dessert, but mark my words it will be tasty.
I hope you have a fantastic National Dessert Day!

National Name Your Car Day
Yesterday, was National Name Your Car Day.
Do you name your cars? My family names our cars. Therefore to honor National Name Your Car Day, I thought I'd share some of my favorite car names.
Woody the Wagoneer
When I turned 16 my dad bought me a 1983 Jeep Wagoneer.
The Jeep was not a cool car. I hated this car! Here are some of the things I hated about my first car: it would not go over 55 mph without the stirring wheel starting to shake, the passenger door would only shut if the driver's window was rolled down, I had a gun rack, and there was wood paneling on the outside. Despite my hate for this monstrous vehicle, it's what I had to drive.
My friend's are the lovely folks who named the Jeep, Woody the Wagoneer.
* Fun Fact: Woody was the same age as Sister #1, which I would constantly bring up to my parents. *Another Fun Fact: When Sister #2 was 6 years old, she made the bold statement that she would be proud to drive a car the same age as herself.
Betty the Buick
My Sr year of High School my parents bought my grandma's car. It was a 1991 Buick LaSabre.
After driving Woody the Wagoneer for a year, the Buick felt like a convertible. First of all, it went over 55 mph so I was finally able to drive on the interstate. Also, both doors shut without a problem and there was no wood on this car. I was in heaven!
My friend Keri is the one that named Betty the Buick. I'm not even for sure how she came up with the name. All I know is the nickname stuck and my grandma's car became Betty the Buick.
* Fun Fact: Betty the Buick was driven by all three girls. Yes, myself, Sister #1, and Sister #2 all drove Betty the Buick.
*Another Fun Fact: Betty the Buick was the same age as Sister #2.

I saw the light
This weekend I bought this...
Lately, I've been investigating headlamps.
In the mornings I see runners wearing headlamps.
To me, these runners looked hardcore.
Therefore, I needed a headlamp because I wanted to be a hardcore runner.
This morning I took my first run with my new headlamp.
It was so cool!
Not only did I feel like and look like a hardcore runner, I also had a well lit path.
