That bell must be a replica.

I started running (sort of) last week. My 10 y/old son has been running a mile in Gym on Fridays and I was not happy when he told me his time was about 14 minutes. I went out running last week and did a mile myself in 8 minutes (I turned 41 in August, for the record), so the next night (Thursday) I took out the boy. There is a small park a few blocks from home with a running track around it so after a brisk walk to warm up, followed by a bit of stretching (until the second hand on my watch could get around to the 12 ;) we took off. At approx. 2,000 feet per lap we ran 3 laps for a shade over a mile, and with the boy running beside me we eked out those 3 laps in 9 minutes.

"I never knew I could run so fast!" he said to me, after we were done.

At school the next day he was apparently running a pretty good time, right up until he slipped over and skinned his knee. To his credit he got back up and resumed running, (after a bit of hobbling and with blood running down his leg) and he finished with a time of 10m 40s. He was not too happy that he fell over and lost so much time, but as long as he's prepared to run (he was still limping over the weekend) then he should break 10-minutes this Friday.Cap'n Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15267651027289124037noreply@blogger.com
